The Musical Director
Originally from
Starbeck in Harrogate, Charles Hindmarsh has been involved in
music in the Harrogate and Leeds area for many years. As a youth
he played in the Granby High School Concert Band, The Tewit Youth
Band, and White Rose Concert Band playing Trombone, Baritone,
Euphonium or Eb Bass. He also played violin with the Harrogate
and Skipton Symphony Orchestra, which he co-lead for a year, and
with the North Yorkshire Schools Symphony Orchestra.
After completing a degree in music and computing, he continued
his musical in the area playing with groups such as the Wetherby
Silver Band, The Harrogate Band and the Yorkshire Evening Post
Band.
For the last couple of years he has conducted the Knaresborough Silver Band and more recently the Yeadon old Brass Band. He welcomes any brass or percussion player
